Rediscovering Solitude in good ways
I feel that I am rediscovering solitude in good ways.
Not complete solitude of course. But rather a balance of the solitude we all experience to various degrees, and the love and togetherness I once was deficient in. That is my family. I cherish them profoundly.
I also go through unpredictable transformations with regards to the perspective I cultivate.
It is a necessary adaptation to be able to grow and improve.
To be able to change perspective can be the one thing that changes your direction toward something that is needed for survival and sometimes thriving.
Changing perspective requires courage. That, I have.
Today I started my day after a night of light sleep. I think I might have undershot my caloric needs too much. Although I certainly have been diligent with protein intake. I may have overdone methyl donors.
Liver and TMG, collagen in large amounts. Perhaps coupled with too high intake of lions mane. All in all resulted in something last night that gave me some good thinking and possible insights.
Sometimes, often, struggle is good in the long term, when handled correctly, as a instrument of learning.
I suspect, I need to go lower on TMG, over-methylation can be an issue.
I certainly am more than enough nourished on proteins.
Supplemental taurine and inositol, may have some neurotransmitter effect that might give side-effects.
The lions mane increases nerve growth factor. While that can be good for cognition, if there is another insult or infection or overload, perhaps there can be the side effect of nerve irritations, etc.
So, it is an idea to go a bit lower in protein, while still be minimum 2g of leucine and 30g of total protein.
Fasting window still 16:8 (maximum), 18:6(medium) or 20:4(min).
I am still trying to figure this out.
I find not going to low or too intense on the fasting or CR is a good idea.
But then again keeping energy balance and not going beyond what I need is better.
The omnivore approach trumps the others.
Also I will stay of inositol and taurine for a while.
Anti-inflammatory foods may be a good idea.
Also keeping dairy a bit lower, as I need to figure this out and see how this affects me.
I am optimistic.
But a bit, sometimes, frustrated with how things move so quickly.
I need patience, not to know the solutions right away.
But I think I learn more as I go.
Also my cognition is very strong.
I find this is consistent.
What I need to work on is how to balance the well being of the rest of my body and my muscle health, and inflammation levels.
Those are more of a challenge to do.
Cognition, cardio-vascular health and energy I have a good grasp on.
This mornings 1st and supplements drink:
- Rhodiola rosea
- Ceylon cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Glycine (4g)
- NAC(500mg)
- Green tea
- Green matcha tea
- Stevia leaves
I am a bit inspired by NOVOS Labs (https://novoslabs.com/product/novos-core/) ingredients a 2nd round of supplements:
- Ca-AKG
- Magnesium (preferably with malate)
- Ginger (Strive for 2mg of gingerols). Estimating that 1% may be gingerols of ginger extract.
I definitely overshot this one. Going for about 2 teaspons of ginger powder would yield about 4g of ginger powder resulting in about 40mg of gingerol. So maybe 20 times more than Novos! Oh well..
- 50mg of pterostilbene (according to ChatGPT4 you need to get around 161g of blueberries to get this much)
I should say it stands to be proven that the Novos blend works. They claim to have verified this.
