Befriending mathematics again
Mathematics is not often depicted from the individual mental/psychological perspective, in full spectrum, with a monologue of meta perspective. The hard questions comes to my mind. Why do most people give up when facing intellectual or cognitive discomfort. Actually, how do I describe this matter accurately? Can it be done to such a degree that it matters to a significant amount of people? (Sorry about indentation.. will fix later.. working with one hand..) I think parts of advancing you mathematical proficiency with regards to this internal matter has to do with the comfort zone. I think an effective strategy in many endevors of learning and increased ability has to do with being able to persevere at a correct level of discomfort so as to allow for increase of ability through neurogenic adaptations, actual rewiring and growth. An other aspect has to do with mathematics itself. Which is endurance, patience and the willingness to stick with a problem and work though it...
