Fathers day 2022 and sons

 Yesterday was one of those magical days. A day when the small things came together in harmony.

Like an orchestra with the perfect acoustics.


I had rehearsed mathematics.

My son, always pics after a certain subset of my good habits. In particular the creative ones.

He has lately been practising dancing. He uses youtube videos and studies and practises the moves in great detail for hours, with quick breaks in between. It comes like an instinct to him.

For some reason he doesn't get frustrated, and he is very motivated from within.

It is amazing to see.

He has a superpower, that I wish to nurture in him.

The art of working hard and finding flow within a craft, somehow exist instinctively in him and he expresses it with joy.


Lately, I have taken up mathematics again. Slowly but surely and with strong determinism, but cautious and with mindful care. I do it for me, to have meaning and purpose. 

Things in my life come together now when I engage in mathematical thought and work.

My son somehow senses this force and now he has started again (as he did the last time I took up my mathematics) to take some of my math books and write down equations, diagrams and texts from these books. Sometimes he asks questions about what things mean and I do my utmost to explain and inspire wonder and some intuitive insight into the mathematics he is exploring from his curious playful mind.

The thought struck me that, he is starting to inspire me to find mathematics again.

It was fathers day, and perhaps, as a father and man, I want to inspire him.

Even so, this fathers day, it was he, my son, who inspired me to be me.

Sunday is Son's day.

Constant change and the perception of exploration

  I find that my life is an explorative adventure. I explore not just the external world. But the internal world. I explore the platonic world that could be seen to be outside of both this external and internal world. The platonic world is independent of the internal world. I feel, I should define the building blocks of this thinking out loud monologue to make things less ambiguous. Defining the internal world as the perceived world or mental world. This is more complicated than it may sound.   It is not independent of the external world. The external world being defined as a physical world that exists independent of perception. To some degree this is a philosophical discussion where there is degrees of arbitrarity or bias in the way we reason about this. Creatine supplementions effect on sleep and brain health

There have been a limited number of studies investigating the effects of creatine supplementation on brain function and sleep, and even fewer studies specifically examining the timing of creatine supplementation with respect to these outcomes. One study published in 2018 investigated the effects of creatine supplementation on sleep quality in healthy young men. Participants received either a placebo or creatine supplements (20 grams per day) for 7 days, and were instructed to take the supplements either in the morning or in the evening.
